HPC POS System, Corp. Applauds the Legalization of Hemp Cultivationadmin
February 6, 2014 / ACCESSWIRE / Reno, NV / HPC POS SYSTEM, CORP. (PINKSHEETS: HPCS), a health company specializing in advances in Supplements for Health, and Anti-Aging today announced earlier this week that we are entering into the medical Marijuana and Hemp space to cover all sectors of the marketplace via a new holding company being created called Cannabis Health Group. This will include the development of edibles, ecommerce, cosmetics and software via their delivery systems and the engagement of knowledgeable Technical Scientists in this venue.
HPC POS System, Corp. is pleased today to announce that the Company is extremely excited about Congress’ decision to legalize the cultivation of Hemp. Pursuant to the passage of the new Farm Bill, the cultivation of industrial Hemp is legal on a Federal level and is clearing the way for industrial Hemp pilot programs in ten states such as Colorado, Washington, California, Kentucky, Maine, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, Vermont and West Virginia, where growing the plant is legal.
Fred Schiemann CEO stated, “Retail sales of these goods below reached nearly $500 million, according to the Congressional Research Service. With our current business model and new products that will be released in the near future, this makes it more mainstream for distribution.” (http://www.crs.gov/) (http://www.fas.org/sgp/crs/misc/RL32725.pdf)
Additionally, President Obama will sign the nearly $1 trillion federal farm bill into law when he visits Michigan State University on Friday. This will enhance and further the development of products from the cultivation of hemp and related products.
Hemp has long been cultivated for non-drug use in the production of industrial and other goods. Some estimate that the global market for hemp consists of more than 25,000 products. It can be grown as a fiber, seed, or other dual-purpose crop. Hemp fibers are used in a wide range of products, including fabrics and textiles, yarns and raw or processed spun fibers, paper, carpeting, home furnishings, construction and insulation materials, auto parts, and composites. The interior stalk is used in various applications such as animal bedding, raw material inputs, low-quality papers, and composites. Hemp seed and oilcake are used in a range of foods and beverages, and can be an alternative food protein source. Oil from the crushed hemp seed is an ingredient in a range of body-care products and also nutritional supplements. Hemp seed is also used for industrial oils, cosmetics and personal care, and pharmaceuticals, among other composites.
