LaMar Van Dusen is an active member of the Toronto business community and has played a vital role as a business consultant, by providing a full range of solutions for entrepreneurs and business owners. A goal- and results-oriented professional, LaMar Van Dusen has an extensive track record in business marketing, corporate and managerial finance, financial analysis, sourcing, staffing, sales and consulting.
LaMar Van Dusen studied business administration and marketing at St. Clair College and earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Windsor University.
Since 2014, Van Dusen has worked as a Director and has managed his own full service bookkeeping and accounting firm. He began the firm from his home office, building business plans for independent business owners and helping them secure capital they needed to start and/or grow their business. In the process, Van Dusen developed a unique service offering for business owners that combined finance consulting with principled accounting. His firm also became the leading company in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) to offer full service bookkeeping and corporate accounting for one simple monthly flat fee; this provides business owners access to a many more resources, with a simplified service approach, without any hidden costs.
Van Dusen’s firm offers full service bookkeeping and accounting and a range of service offerings that includes the creation of business plans, finance consulting, business management, government grants and strategy advisory services.
Supported by a staff of two full time CPAs, bookkeepers and administrative assistants, the firm manages a broad range of bookkeeping clients on a monthly basis and an additional corporate and sole proprietorship for year-end tax returns. Since its founding, the company has helped a number of companies in Ontario raise funds for working capital and to purchase commercial properties and franchises.
Prior to launching his own firm, LaMar Van Dusen was Vice President of Sales for Advanced Presentation Products. During the course of his more than two years at Advanced Presentation Products, he built a sales team that went from producing $6 million to $10 million in sales. He also served as an account executive with employment/staffing firms Robert Half and Flexmore Staffing.
LaMar Van Dusen is a member of several Canadian professional organizations, including the Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce and the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business.
Van Dusen is passionate about helping child burn victims and began a foundation named the Rise of the Phoenix Foundation to help these children with travel, hotel stay and medical expenses. He also is a supporter of Camp Bucko, a burn camp in Ontario that helps kids ages 7 to 17.
In his spare time, Van Dusen enjoys a number of sports- and fitness-related activities. He does workout training four days as week. He also plays football and coaches his son’s football team and enjoys going on fishing trips.
