Wise Publishing Corrections Policy

Money.ca is published by Wise Publishing, Inc. Last updated: October 7, 2026.

Our commitment

We work hard to get every fact right. People use what we publish to make real decisions about their money, so accuracy matters.

When we make a mistake, we fix it and tell you what we changed. We do not hide errors, and we do not change facts without saying so.

How we fix mistakes

  • Corrections. If we get a fact wrong, such as a number, name, date, rate or quote, we fix the article and add a dated note that says what was wrong and what is right.
  • Clarifications. If our facts were right but our wording could mislead you, we rewrite it and add a dated note explaining the change.
  • Updates. The world of money is constantly changing. Policies move and new rules take effect all the time. When we refresh an article with newer information, we change the "Updated" date. An update is not a correction, because what we published was accurate at the time.
  • Privacy and safety edits. Sometimes we remove details that were accurate, such as a person's name, to protect their privacy or safety. This is not a correction. We add a short dated note at the end of the article saying we removed personal details, without repeating them.
  • Editor's notes. If a problem is bigger than one fact — for example, if a story left out important context or did not meet our standards — we explain what happened at the top of the article.

Correction notes usually appear at the end of the article. If the error affected the headline or the main point of the story, you’ll find our note at the top. We fix typos, spelling, grammar and broken links without a note, as long as the meaning does not change.

Many readers find our stories on partner platforms such as MSN, Apple News and Yahoo. When we correct a story, we send the corrected version to those partners. Some partner copies may take time to update, and copies republished elsewhere without our permission are outside our control.

How to tell us about an error

Email [email protected]. Please include:

  • a link to the article
  • what you think is wrong
  • a source that shows the correct information, if you have one

An editor reviews every report. If we confirm a mistake, we correct it promptly. We may contact you if we need more information. But we will not remove an accurate article because someone is unhappy with it. In rare cases, such as a story that is wrong at its core or a legal or safety concern, we may retract or remove an article. When we can, we leave a note explaining why.

Who is responsible

Our editors are responsible for everything we publish, including any work where we used AI tools. Corrections follow the same rules no matter how a story was produced.
