Show your teen what happens if they invest $100 a month starting at 16 versus 26. Seeing the difference in black and white can help the concept click in a way that mom and dad telling them to save just doesn't.

It's not just for finance bros and day traders. Investing is one of the most powerful tools women have and many of us aren't using it. Women tend to outlive men and are more likely to take career breaks and that impacts our finances. Investing isn't just about getting rich: it\'s about giving yourself options to leave a job or relationship that isn't working, taking time off without panicking, or retiring when you want to rather than when you have to. And you don't need to be a market expert, either. Small, consistent contributions to a money market account or index funds that you don't touch can grow into a life-changing amount of money over time.
